Raft Guide School

Scouting Ten Mile rapid on the Upper Animas
Looking for a dream job? if life style is your top priority, then becoming a river guide is one of the best jobs in the world . This 7 day course will cover all the topics needed toward Colorado raft guide certification. This is going to be an intense class and enrollment does not mean automatic employment with 4 Corners whitewater. You will work hard and learn a lot.
The state of Colorado requires training in 8 topics and a total 50 hours of on river training before a check out run with clients is permitted . This raft guide course covers all 8 topics and includes approximately 50 hours of on river training. You must also obtain First Aid to and CPR certification in addition to this class to become a legal guide. A separate Swiftwater Rescue Technician certification ( SRT ) is also highly encouraged for students who are serious about working with 4 Corners whitewater.
